Anime Defenders newest update added portals to the game. You can obtain them through various methods like challenges, raids, and infinite modes. They have a total of five rarities: rare, epic, legendary, mythic, and secret. If you get a secret portal, you're guaranteed a secret unit. So right now, this is the best way to get a secret unit as a free to play player. All portal secrets are untradable, meaning you can't just spend gems to buy secrets like normal.
