Early spring on the blue lake Lovatnet in Norway is an absolutely special time of the year! After all, there are no tourists and fuss, and the water in the lake is completely different than in summer - it is both blue and transparent at the same time! And the shadows from the high mountains, due to the low sun, wander along the opposite slopes, constantly changing the lighting and mood of the lake.
We visited here on March 20th and we can confidently say that the snowy peaks combined with the blue sky and yellow grass rooftops are something absolutely special that must be seen with your own eyes!
Also, with the general serenity of the mood on the slopes, traces of a harsh winter and avalanches in the form of fallen trees and landslides of stones and sand are clearly visible.
The road along the lake Lovatnet is narrow, but we managed to pass the entire lake with only a couple of cars on the way, and in summer there are even traffic jams from tourists!
