If you have never tried pickled green tomatoes, you have to try them on a salad or sliced in a sandwich. I grew up with my family making all kinds of pickled vegetables, especially to store during winter time.
We usually made pickled green tomatoes in the Fall so they could be ready by Winter time.
Typically we served them as a salad side to a bean soup dish.
