Aaj ki special recipe hai Kala Chana Pulao. Iski khaas baat ye hai ki ye aasaan hai, gharelu cheezon se banti hai aur healthy bhi hai. Maine toh bana li, aap kab bana rahe hain?
KALE CHANE KA PULAO
Ingredients
¾ cup Tata Sampann Kala Chana, washed, soaked for 6-8 hours and drained
1½ cups Basmati rice, washed and soaked for 20 minutes
2 tbsps oil
1 tsp cumin seeds
2 medium onions, sliced
1 inch ginger, roughly chopped
3-4 garlic cloves
2 green chillies
½ tsp Tata Sampann Turmeric Powder
2 tsps coriander powder
1 tsp cumin powder
1 tsp red chilli powder
1 tsp garam masala powder
Salt to taste
8-10 fresh mint leaves
Fresh coriander sprigs for garnish
Method
Heat oil in a Nutripot, add cumin seeds and once they change colour, add onions and sauté well.
Add ginger and sauté for 1 minute. Roughly chop garlic and green chillies and add them into the Nutripot. Continue to sauté for 1-2 minutes.
Add Tata Sampann Turmeric Powder and sauté for 1 minute.
Add coriander powder, cumin powder, red chilli powder, garam masala powder and soaked Tata Sampann Kala Chana and mix well.
Add 2½ cups water and salt and mix well. Cook for 10-15 minutes.
Add soaked rice basmati and mint leaves and cover the Nutripot with the lid. Select ‘Biryani’ option and cook till the rice is cooked completely.
Switch the Nutripot off, transfer the kale chana ka pulao into a serving plate and garnish with coriander sprig and serve hot.
