Get ready. We're about to pay for that warm, quiet fall we experienced.
Weather Impact Alerts start late Wednesday evening and go through at least Friday as our first storm system moves in just in time for those late Wednesday and early Thanksgiving travelers around northern Ohio.
It all begins Wednesday afternoon as an area of low pressure gets going in the Ohio Valley, bringing a shield of precipitation our way. We'll have a few scattered showers trying to develop through the evening. Steadier rain arrives through the overnight hours. This will likely start as all rain. As temperatures drop overnight and into Thursday morning, some of that rain will change to mix and wet snow.
This would bring a coating to potentially an inch or so for grassy areas and elevated surfaces Thanksgiving morning, especially away from the lake. By midday Thursday, we should quiet down with cloudy skies and areas of drizzle or flurries as the main system moves east.
