WARNING _ It was 4m deep when I jumped in 1995.I dived the river in April 2014 & it was only 2.9m at the same spot with a large boulder just downstream
In August 1995 we had a stunning day out at Devils bridge in Kirkby Lonsdale. Hundreds of people were swimming in the river as the water was warm for once. This short video shows a few teenagers jumping off the bridge including two girls at the same time. I am the 'well built' man who jumps off at the end. I think the drop is about 35 foot and I remember touching the bottom at about 12 foot ( I know the depth under the bridge from scuba diving the river a few times)
