I In episode 103 of Whisky in SV, I did a Jim Beam whisky blind pitting the newly released Old Grand-Dad 16 (OGD16), up against the new Hardin's Creek Golden Origins 11 Year Corn whisky, up against Baker's 13, and one of my favorite Jim Beam products to date: the Hardin's Creek Boston. Overall, there was no contest that the Boston is the standout amongst this bunch. The HC Golden Origins is definitely not amenable to my palate, especially for the price. I think the OGD16 is a great whisky but it is severely overpriced given other alternatives that Jim Beam puts out.
