Shishito peppers 🌶️
Start by washing and patting them dry. In a bowl add 1-2 tablespoons of oil to the peppers with some garlic cloves, then set aside while you prepare the sauce.
Sauce:
- 1-2 tbsp melted vegan butter
- Juice of 1 lime
- 1-2 tbsp sweet soy sauce
- 1 tsp liquid smoke
- 1-2 tbsp gochujang paste
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- A bit of cassava flour to thicken
Roast the peppers and garlic until golden brown. Remove the garlic, crush it, and sprinkle on top of the peppers along with some lime juice and a pinch of salt. Add the sauce to the peppers and cook for about minute.
