11 dead and 2 missing after Eastern Cape floods.

Port Elizabeth - The Eastern Cape government has confirmed that a total of 11 people died while two people remain missing as a result of the recent flooding in the province.
Provincial government spokesperson, Sonwabo Mbananga, said the Office of the Premier had set up a Joint Operations Centre to coordinate disaster relief efforts in the province, following the floods which devastated Alfred Nzo, OR Tambo and Joe Gqabi District Municipalities.
He said the provincial government is also working with relevant government departments as well as affected municipalities in coordinating the costing of the post-disaster reconstruction effort.
The Eastern Cape Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) had also confirmed that 70 voting stations had been affected by the floods, including schools and pre-schools.
