In this talk, Svetlana Darche from WestEd describes how GLOBE Mission Earth (GME) has been developing an online course to support the expanded integration of GLOBE and NASA assets into educators’ programs. The Urban Heat Island Effect and climate are themes woven throughout the course, to bring coherence to the course and address growing concerns. Similarly, equity and inclusion are centered with a short paper and “tips” in all practice-oriented modules. The course is designed to introduce teachers to GLOBE and NASA resources, show how GLOBE aligns to teachers’ goals, and welcome them into the GLOBE community. Watch the recording to learn more.
