The social system under the Brehon Laws certainly contained many elements that were laudable, especially given the context of the time in which they existed and by comparison to contemporary systems, but it was far from being a utopian society. There were many features of the Brehon Law that would not be looked on favourably in today's world. In this short clip, Kevin tackles just a few of these issues and helps to bring some context to why things happened the way they did.
