Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA) is a cluster of traits including:
Resisting and avoiding the ordinary demands of life
Using social strategies as part of avoidance
Appearing sociable, but lacking some understanding
Experiencing intense emotions and mood swings
Appearing comfortable in role play and pretence
Focussing intently, often on other people; repetitive and restrictive interests often social in nature, relating to real or fictional people
