In a recent meeting with those responsible for the economic support of the #ItalianBishops' #Conference, Pope Francis discussed the importance of having love and empathy towards others, especially those who are less fortunate. He emphasized the danger of becoming indifferent and insensitive to people's problems, which he described as the "ugliest disease we can have."
The Pope also praised the Church's change of mentality in its economic management, which came from listening to and including Christians in the decision-making processes. He expressed the need to discard misguided models and embrace a more widespread conscience through the synodal process.
As the Bishop of #Rome, Pope Francis frequently meets with the Bishops' Conference to discuss both universal and local Church matters.
