The Passport has a higher ride height than the three-row Pilot that it's based on, so it feels right at home in the dirt, but it's still comfortable and quiet on the highway. This Honda may just be the best midsize two-row crossover on the market today. Edmunds Reviews Editor Travis Langness has all the details.

A: The Passport has a 3.5-liter V6 that's paired to a nine-speed automatic transmission. It produces 280 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque.

Q: How much does the Passport cost?
A: The MSRP for a base-level Passport Sport with two-wheel drive is $33,035, including destination fee. The top-level Elite trim level with all-wheel drive is $44,725.

Q: What does the Passport compete against?
A: If you're looking for a midsize crossover with off-roading capability, the Toyota 4Runner and the Jeep Grand Cherokee have some serious chops. And if a comfortable ride is a priority, the Subaru Outback and the Nissan Murano are good competitors, too.
