This video was filmed first thing in the morning at home shows 1/2 of what I do for a foot warm-up before shows. It was for me to study, but I thought it could help others warm-up, so I posted it; yes, those are "winter bootie slippers on my feet." When I am not working on even/single/identical hits, I am grouping in clusters of 3,4,5,6,7,8 depending on how tired I am, or not. This video demonstrates only 8 clusters. It is NOT really fast at all, but that's the point; to show how the accenting helps me achieve the speeds I need more quickly before I hit the stage and especially when I am tired. This is easier with sneakers on, but the point is to force the motion. Overhitting single hits does not help me. On my Nightmare to Remember Chile video, you can see me accenting 8's over the bar with a sextuplet, but the sound is more even than this video which again, overemphasizes the motion for warm-up.
