Camping Options Near Natural Bridges National Monument
When visiting Natural Bridges National Monument, the Two Tired Teachers knew they would need somewhere to stay. Sharon found an abandoned air strip on Campendium that looked perfect.
Driving to Natural Bridges, the Two Tired Teachers encountered rain, snow, and sleet. None of the precipitation was terribly heavy, but it was enough to make Sharon and MiLena mindful of where they were parking the trailer.
The airstrip was perfect for several reasons. First, it was asphalt with gravel. We weren't going to be parking on dirt. Also, it was just eight miles from the entrance of Natural Bridges National Monument.
Natural Bridges National Monument has a campground with 13 first-come, first served campsites. The maximum combined length of tow vehicle and trailer or RV is 26'. The campground does offer picnic tables, tent pads, and fire grill. The campground does NOT have potable water. It has no hookups. Each site is $15 per night unless you have a senior pass in which case the fee is $7.
Several forest roads near Natural Bridges have dispersed camping. We didn't choose one of those because the roads were extremely rough, and you would be camping on dirt. Because of the precipitation, that isn't what we wanted.
