We continue our journey by sailing home across the English Channel. It was unforgettable as it was so calm and we arrived in Studland bay late on a summers evening with no breeze and still managed to pick up a visitors mooring buoy. they have been laid to protect the seagrasses there and it is the home of seahorses! After a serene night at anchor we headed into Poole harbour to shelter from a westerly storm. We achieved this by anchoring off Brownsea island where we sat for 5 days avoiding F7 winds. Eventually things calmed down so we set sail for Cowes on the Isle of Wight, passing the famous Needles land mark and light house on the way in.
