Khlea, or Khlii is a preserved meat popular in Morocco. This Khlea comes from Fes, thanks to subscriber Youssef from Casablanca, we got to try it today. Compared as a Moroccan Beef Jerky, Khlii is seasoned and stored in it's own fat and oil. Khlii and eggs is a popular dish, but today we opted for a more healthy version by adding green beens. Green beans from the souk add fiber and some veggie to a protein and fat loaded dish. Moroccan food is always tasty and I am happy to have the opportunity to try different Moroccan cuisine. Here in Agadir, Argan, Amlou, and Fish are popular, while in the North near Tangier, bissara is king. This Khlii comes from Fes at Chez Smili. Thanks for taking a look into this Bohemian's Kitchen on our Mor Acro cooking show today.
