Acharya Satyendra Das Maharaj, the chief priest of the Ram Janmabhoomi temple in Ayodhya, has reportedly commented on a salary hike for himself and his fellow priests. According to him, the priests' salary has been increased from Rs 15,520 to Rs 25,000. The priest stated that he had received the information about the hike from the temple trust's office. He expressed gratitude towards the trust and said that the increase would be beneficial for the priests who had been struggling to make ends meet due to inflation. The Ram Janmabhoomi temple is currently under construction in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, and is expected to be completed in the near future. The temple has been a long-standing issue of dispute between the Hindu and Muslim communities in India, and the recent construction of the temple has been hailed by Hindu nationalists as a victory. The issue of the priests' salaries has been a contentious one, with many arguing that the priests are not paid enough for their services. Some have even accused the temple trust of exploiting the priests and not providing them with adequate compensation.
