A bias-cut halter dress with tulle overlay was made more playful with polka dots, and a gold metal mini had an unexpected gunmetal floral print.

Nighttime clothes were definitely the focus, but Acra did some fancy day looks, too, including a black and white houndstooth blouse worn with a black and white crosshatch side-slit skirt, all pulled together with a thick metallic gold belt.

The finale was gowns, for which Acra, a red-carpet resource, is known.

The most memorable was a set of liquid lamé styles, in particular a bias-cut halter in gold panne velvet, a one-shoulder draped number, and a silver silk crepe column with strategically sexy cutouts on top.

Overall, the collection hung together well: Acra's been working hard to make all of her pieces (not just her bread-and-butter red-carpet looks) sing in unison.
