We've seen a lot of problems lately with Interviews for I-751's. In the old days, an I-751 took about 4-5 months to approve. Under the Trump administration they're taking about 18 months. The problem is that just one year after you've filed for an I-751 you're eligible to file for citizenship. We're seeing a situation where people are showing up to their combination citizenship/I-751 interview and the interviewing officer isn't prepared.
Basically, USCIS's officers haven't been trained on how to adjudicate I-751's and its created a mess for all immigrants, which was the desired effect with the rule change under the Trump administration.
