My first video of 2021 was a review of Marvel’s Spider-Man and I had to make a very clear distinction that Spider-Man was a very important character to me growing up and even more so now. I made that distinction because I believe that no critique can be unbiased. Everyone is going to have their preferences and that’s fine, you guys know my preferences are 3rd person open world action games as evident by the majority of my channels videos. So while I don’t think there is anything wrong with having a bias, I think it’s important to make your biases extremely clear when presenting an opinion, especially when on the internet to a bunch of strangers who don’t know you. In the case of Spider-Man, it’s a character whose presence in any movie or video game will immediately garner my attention and almost always my money. When it comes to video games I am heavily biased towards games with fluent movement and smooth animations. That’s why I hold Assassin’s Creed Unity as my favourite parkour system in any game. While the earlier games have been argued to have more depth and freedom. I would much rather have a game that has smoother and more fluent movement with the sacrifice of less control. I am not here to argue these biases or justify them, but rather put all my cards on the table. I am going to try and set those biases aside and look at this game as critically and fairly as possible. Now it may be strange to go over my biases and then say that I’ll try my best to not to fall subject to them, but I do it because I feel like this game was made for me. Not that the developers consulted me or anything, but rather, this game checks off every box I could ever have on a list of things I like in video games.
I also bring this up because I won’t be talking about the price point of this game. I know that there is some controversy around this game's price but I can’t properly analyze or argue my feelings on the price because to me, a Spider-Man video game is more valuable purely because it’s Spider-Man. I’d pay $100 for a new Spider-Man game, because being able to project myself onto a character I’ve been enamored with for as long as I can remember is infinitely worth more than projecting myself onto any other character. If I had to give some thoughts that are as unbiased as I can get, I’d say that this game has enough content to justify the price simply because Uncharted Lost Legacy was quite similar and yet there is a $10 difference. That difference, in my eyes, is justified considering this is a next gen title. I also want to remind you all that this is all just an opinion piece and that I would love to engage in a discussion surrounding the game in the comments, so long as it is respectful.
This is the long-anticipated Spider-man Miles Morales Review! In this Spider-Man Miles Morales Critique, we will be looking at every facet of Spider-Man Miles Morales and the accompanying opinions of That Boy Aqua. This Spider-Man Miles Morales Analysis will go through the story and only explain the surface level necessary details instead of a full Spider-Man Miles Morales Ending Explained. Some have discussed whether this is a Spider-Man PS4 Sequel or not, but I won't. I consider this a half sequel though and not a full Spider-Man 2 game. I have already released a Spider-Man PS4 Critique and a Spider-Man PS5 Critique, which will be linked below. You can expect a Spider-Man Sequel Review and you can basically treat this video as a Spider-Man Miles Morales Walkthrough. The entire theme of the game in my eyes and the subtitle of this video as you can see is to Express Yourself, and Miles Morales completely embodies this. Spider-Man Miles Morales is the closest thing we have right now to an Insomniac Spider-Man Sequel, and while it has it's flaws, it's still worth your time.
