Meet Cheryce Poon Fischer, MD, and Hannah Milch, MD, as they explain what it means if you're called back for additional imaging after a mammogram.
Callbacks after a mammogram are relatively common and often result in normal findings. During your callback visit, you can expect more imaging tests like mammograms and ultrasounds. If necessary, your doctor might recommend a biopsy, but remember, a callback alone is not a breast cancer diagnosis.
It's essential to follow through with recommended tests and appointments for early detection and peace of mind. Make sure to provide any past breast imaging, arrive early, and expect your visit to take about 45 to 60 minutes.
Your care team will explain your results after the exam, and they are here to support and answer any questions you have. Learn more about the breast imaging and screening process at UCLA Health: [ Ссылка ]
