The Imran Khan government has released 350 activists of the banned outfit Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP). Khan’s PTI govt is trying to avert a showdown with the radical Islamist outfit that is holding a "long march" to Islamabad. The Pakistan govt held talks with TLP representatives amid the ongoing standoff over the arrest of Saad Rizvi. The Imran Khan govt has also assured that it is working on a plan to release the jailed party chief Saad Rizvi. The TLP workers have been holding violent protests across the nation, especially in Lahore.
