ABSOLUTE TOUGHNESS

G-SHOCK established the then-unheard-of concept of toughness in watches. Going against all conventional thinking, there are no limits in the pursuit of this goal. Even now, Casio is challenging to create a new type of toughness and is approaching an idealised perfection with materials resulting from research into aviation and astronautics.

1st Material RESIN
The resin surface offers superior shock absorbency, and is lightweight and easy to process. Such innovative toughness in shock-resistant structures is both the origin of G-SHOCK and a symbol of its continuing evolution.

2nd Material METAL
The rugged case constructed from sturdy metal protects the module from impact. The meticulously crafted surface finish accentuates the metal’s texture to reveal a toughness forged from strength and beauty.

3ed Material CARBON
The carbon fibre-reinforced resin case forms the shock-resistant structure’s core. A renewed toughness, design, and usability have been achieved through the use of advanced composite materials created in the pursuit of ultimate strength and lightness.

These were the three requirements of the “Triple 10” concept that led to development G-SHOCK's shock-resistant structure.
