PSA: IFLAs are built to live a rather brutal life. They literally get beat around, all day long. In vehicles with absolutely no suspension. They are rough riding machines...😅🤣. BUT, that is so very good for our beloved IFLAs. See, all those bumps, bangs, and vibrations keep those magic plates inside, free of sulphation and general junk. WE DO NOT HAVE THAT LUXURY at home. So, how do we accomplish the same thing? Two things help us do that, amperage we charge with, and controlled over voltage (equalize charging). For long term, and I mean long term reliability....like the long haul people, 20 plus years, and longer of good solid reliable performance from them, we must do a couple things regularly. The most important thing, that if you do not adhere too, you may very well be one of those people who only get a decade out of your IFLA.....is charging amps. I can not stress the importance of this enough. You have to be ale to charge them consistently at 10% OR MORE of the rated Amp hours. If your pack is 1000ah, you need a rock bottom, bare minimum of 100 charging amps. If you do not adhere to this golden rule, and your 1000ah pack has been charged at say 50amps all its life, it is sulphating a wee bit, every single day. After about a decade of this, your pack will getting really down on storage, because of the slow sulphation that has occurred over the years. We will go over this on the new video tonight. If you would like anything specific covered, ask it below in the comments. 👍
