The cheaper Markus office chair is made out of polyester, the more expensive Markus office chair is made out of top grain leather. Is spending more necessarily better? Other than the materials being different, the armrests are different as well. The cheaper office chair comes with hard rubber armrests. As for the more expensive office chair, it has a little bit more padding and is wrapped in top grain leather. In my opinion, I didn't see the hard rubber armrests to be an issue as I still found them pretty comfortable. But other than that, both office chairs come with comfortable headrests, a mesh backrest, fixed lumbar support and a seat thats on the firmer side. If I'm comparing both office chairs, I personally would choose the cheaper Markus. I found the material to be more comfortable, easier to maintain and the material of the armrests to not be so bad when you are leaning your arms on them for longer periods of time. Coming from a Canadian perspective, Canadians definitely get the better deal if their looking for a desk chair or office chair under $200.
