The Ojibwe people are a Native American tribe indigenous to the Great Lakes. Our language, ojibwemowin, is considered an endangered language, but we are working hard to help it flourish for future generations. There are a number of other tribes that are closely related to the Ojibwe, including the Ottawa (Odawa), Potawatomi, and Cree. We often use the word Anishinaabe as a collective term of reference. Miigwech.
