Verse 1:
"Mahasamar ghanghor baat! Garja jab Meghnaad.
Maayavi Indrajaal, Raavan ka beta hai Bhokaal!"
Translation: This is a fierce and intense battle. When Meghnaad roars, his magical powers are like an enchanting spell. He is the son of Raavan, a formidable force.

Verse 2:
"Indrajaal se Indra haar ke Indra jeet ke daas.
Meghnaad ko gyat gyaan the Ved chaar sab ek sath.
Jab Shesh Naag ko Naag pash me faas na lene di saans.
Ram Raj me sakshaat tha vaas, kaal ka roop...vo seedha vinash."
Translation: Despite possessing the magical powers to defeat Indra, Meghnaad knew the knowledge of the four Vedas. When the mighty Shesh Naag was about to lose his breath in the grip of the Naag Pash.

Verse 3:
"Kaun veer hai, kaun dhanurdhar mahasamar mein aaya?
Mahapralay ambar mein ghanghor megh sa chhaya.
Bahut hai durlabh, bahut saghan hai yoddha ka parichay batlana.
Pitru bhakt dridh sankalpit hai, iska kya vyaktitva batlana."
Translation: Who is the brave warrior and skilled archer who has entered this great battle? There is a massive storm looming in the sky. It is challenging to introduce such a mighty warrior. The devotee of his ancestors, firm in his resolve, what can we say about his personality?

Verse 4:
"Mahaveer vo mahayoddha, garjana karta ran kshetra mein aaya.
Lanka ki vo aan bachane, mahayajna na kar paya."
Translation: He is the great warrior, the mighty fighter who arrived with thunderous roars on the battlefield. He aimed to save Lanka but couldn't perform the grand sacrifice.

Verse 5:
"Farak nahi ki kon sahi, jo bhi ho accha hoga.
Maar kar ya markar bhi pitra bhakti me saccha hoga.
Bachpan me megh ke jaisi thi rone ki aavaz.
Jiski bani chita thi jali pita shri sath aag me raakh."
Translation: It doesn't matter who is right; whatever happens will be for the best. Whether he dies or kills, his devotion to his ancestors will be genuine. In childhood, his voice was as soft as the cry of a cloud. His words turned into ashes when his father was burnt with fire.

Verse 6:
"Ek mahabali, ek parakrami jo jeet chuka tha Indra ko bhi.
Khud Brahma ne aakar dharti par naam diya use Indrajeet.
Vo Raavan se bhi balshali par baat ka ise abhiman nahi.
Tha ajar amar har samar me, sir ucha Raavan ka fakar se aur baano ke asar se."
Translation: He is a mighty and courageous warrior who had defeated even Indra. Lord Brahma himself came and named him Indrajeet. He is more powerful than Raavan, but he doesn't boast about it. He is immortal in every battle, proud of Raavan's name and the impact of his arrows.

Verse 7:
"Shri Ram swayam the murchit, jab Meghnaad ke baan chale.
Tab Garud Dev aaye dhariti par, fir Prabhu ji ke praan bache.
Do baar Lakhan bhi gyayal the, par bacha gaye sankat mochan.
Hua yagya bhang par kiya yuddh, ek veer purush ki shaan bache."
Translation: Lord Ram himself was unconscious when Meghnaad shot his arrows. Then Garud, the divine eagle, came to the earth and saved Lord Ram's life. Lakshman was wounded twice but was rescued by the savior from troubles. The battle broke the holy ritual, but the glory of the brave warrior remained intact.

Verse 8:
"Kyu Meghnaad ko bhool gaye hum, praan gavaye the jisne.
Vo Sheshnaag ko jaan gaya tha, hata na fir bhi ladne se.
Vo mitne ko tayyar hua, koi moh nahi use praan ka tha.
Vo pitrabhakt aagyakari, khud Ram ne bhi gungaan kiya."
Translation: Why have we forgotten Meghnaad, who risked his life and lost it? He understood the value of life, even though he knew that he couldn't be defeated. He was ready to sacrifice himself, with no attachment to his life. He was obedient to his father and even Lord Ram praised him.
