My DR650 has been sitting for little over a year. I have an off roading trip on a section of the Trans Wisconsin Adventure Trail coming up and need to get my bike up and running!

When I pulled the bike out of storage and tried to start it, it just kept cranking over but not starting. A little spray of starter fluid in the airbox and it started up right away, but died 2 seconds later.

Knowing that it starts with starter fluid I knew something was wrong with the carb. I ordered a rebuild kit on amazon and took the carb out to rebuild it.

upon removal of the carb and disassembly I found there to be green gunk all inside the carb, apparently that is the ethanol in the gas... so alway remember to use "Sta-bil" when storing your toys for a long time!
