Dr. Jordan Rogers continues preaching verse-by-verse through The Gospel of John in this sermon from John 18:15-27 entitled, “Jesus’ Trial and Peter’s Denial.”
John’s purpose in John 18:15-27 is to record the events of Peter’s threefold denial of Jesus while the Lord was being interrogated by the high priest. In Peter’s denials, we see an example of the faithlessness which indwells all mankind, rendering us in need of salvation. Jesus, however, was faithful in all His trials, rendering Him able to be our substitute.
The following is a sermon from John 18:15-27, and below you will find the video recording and a sermon outline to help you follow along as you watch. I hope this study tool helps you grow in your love for the Lord Jesus and in your obedience to Him.
