You might remember distant times before you could access your bank account on your phone at 2am and splash the cash without having to wait for the shops to open - without having to leave the sofa (and even on a Sunday!)
Increased opportunity, including an array of online shopping 'events' such as 'Black Friday', and ease of spending is, I suspect, the reason compulsive buying has increased.
When treating compulsive shopping, identifying the needs the habit is trying to fulfil is a useful first step and in this video I share 5 ways I helped a client stop compulsive shopping. These tips can be useful when treating clients not just for compulsive shopping, but any compulsive behaviour.
