The NYPD is seeking a vandal who smashed two statues outside of a church in Queens. It was reported to police that on Saturday, July 17, 2021, at approximately 0330 hours, an unknown individual approached the Our Lady of Mercy church located at 70-01 Kessel Street and removed two statues that were affixed in front of the location. The individual then proceeded to damage the statues, repeatedly slamming them to the ground causing them to break. The individual fled the location.
