Last year I showed you how to probably boxwood cuttings but I never got around to actually potting them up. I figured It was high time to get those little rooted boxwood cuttings put into a better growing medium. How many cuttings rooted? More than I though would! We had an amazing success rate on these cuttings.

I used a peat layer on the bottom of the flat and a sand layer toward the top of the cutting. That combo seems to do a good job at maintaining moisture while my cuttings were underneath a shade tree.
Boxwoods make great hedges and landscape plantings and you can save a lot of money or make money by propagating them!
