Education secretary, Bridget Phillipson was on Politics Hub With Sophy Ridge discussing the increase in university tuition fees for the first time in eight years.
Tuition fees will rise to £9,525 from April 2025, an increase of £285 per academic year.
Maintenance loans will increase in line with inflation, an increase of £414 per year in 2025/26.
