Roots of our curriculum come from DOCE PARES (GGM Cacoy Canete, Sifu Richard Bustillo, & Sifu Al Dacasos), MODERN ARNIS (GGM Ernesto Presas, GGM Remy Presas, SGM Rick Alemany, & Hock Hochheim) as well as Jeet Kune Do (Guro Dan Inosanto, SIfu Paul Vunak, Guro Burton Richardson, Sifu Chris Kent, and many other peers and seniors in that lineage.
Saying “Bang, Bang, Wang, Wang Wang” is absolutely from Sifu Richard Bustillo and somehow became a forever part of his teaching that always presents itself!
The term “defang the snake” is something I first heard often from Sifu Paul Vunak, which is ironic since my primary training partner in his PFS/CJKD/VFS program has been my brother Snake Blocker.
