This is my remake of the original Star Trek title sequence, I wanted to see what it would look like if someone had gone and remastered the entire show in full 4K. Instead of making the CGI look flash and new, I wanted to light my CGI as though it was a physical model... just like they would have done back in the 60s. I then rendered all of the elements in 4K and composited the sequence with very subtle effects to make it look like original camera negatives where we composited.

The sequence was created in 3D Studio Max using the redshift renderer.
