GARUDA WISNU KENCANA GWK BALI BECOME THE MOST LUXURY GALA DINNER PLACE FOR WORLD LEADERS & G20 SUMMIT DELEGATIONS
Garuda Wisnu Kencana Cultural Park, abbreviated as GWK, is a tourist park in the southern part of the island of Bali. This tourist park is located in Ungasan Village, South Kuta District, Badung Regency, approximately 40 kilometers south of Denpasar, the provincial capital of Bali.
Standing majestically as a statue on Ungasan hill, this GWK statue has a total height of 122 meters and is one of the tallest statues in the world. So tall, its existence can even be seen from I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport. the GWK statue is a masterpiece by Balinese maestro, I Nyoman Nuarta. It took up to 28 years to realize this giant copper statue.. getting the opportunity to be able to visit here during my vacation to Bali last September was a pride for me.
In the GWK Cultural Park area, we can enjoy panoramic views of Bali from the 23rd floor of the Garuda Wisnu Kencana statue. Because the GWK area is quite wide, we can also find lots of interesting photo spots.
The choice of GWK as the venue for the dinner at the G20 Summit is certainly not without reason. One of the reasons is the uniqueness of GWK. President Jokowi directly chose GWK as the welcoming dinner venue for the G20 Summit.
