Crankshaft Pulley replacement on a 2010 BMW 318d E91 with a N47 engine.
Tools needed
T20 torx bit
16mm socket
E12 socket
4mm pin for locking the belt tensioner
The pulley used wash a cheap no name off ebay. Although it looks ok, it seems to generate excessive vibration and developed a belt squeak so I had to put the old one back.
I’ll post another video with replacing the pulley, belt and tensioner soon, but using better quality parts.
Lesson: Cheap parts are often false economy.
