Antonia Gaudí has designed a number of buildings in Barcelona. People of his time often questioned his genius as one of the most celebrated Spanish architects. Although he was considered unconventional by critics, Spanish noblemen commissioned most of his works. Among his most famous creations are Park Guell, Casa Battlo, Casa Vicens, Palacio Guell and Casa Milà. Also, he contributed significantly to the design of the Nativity Facade and the Crypt of La Sagrada Familia. He was not much appreciated in his lifetime, but he gained fame posthumously and became a figure who inspired future architects.
