Tavares is the first CEO of Stellantis, stepping into the role when the company was created following the merger in 2021 between Fiat Chrysler Automobiles and Groupe PSA. Tavares had previously been the CEO of Groupe PSA since 2014.


Stellantis said that it has begun the process of finding a successor and that it should complete its search by the fourth quarter of 2025.
