Tens of thousands of protesters gathered in central Belgrade on Sunday to speak out against Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić and his ruling party, whom they blame for the roof collapse that killed 15 people on 1 November. Opposition leaders, students, and others have repeatedly taken to the streets over the past two months, blaming the accident on shoddy construction resulting from government corruption and nepotism. The protesters are demanding the release of all documents related to the station's renovation, as well as criminal accountability for officials. Where is Aleksandar Vučić's government heading now? How can we expect this situation to be resolved? To answer these questions, we spoke with Ivan Vejvoda, a Permanent Fellow at the Institute of Human Sciences in Vienna.
