Nike Vaporfly 4% Flyknit VS Salomon S-Lab Sense 6 SG for a TRAIL Half Marathon Running Race, what is a runner to do? Tough question for sure, right?!?! I'm actually truly on the fence about which shoe to wear in a half marathon race, on trails. That is how much I love the Nike Vaporfly 4% Flyknit. This running shoe is simply stellar, and feels very good on the trails. BUT, the tight corners and the uphill could prove to be a slight issue for the Nike Vaporfly 4% Flyknit. Unlike the Salomon S-Lab Sense 6 SG, which has mountains of lug action on the bottom of the running shoe, the Nike Vaporfly 4% Flyknit is flat as pancake on the outsole. I have a decision to make that is for sure, as my half marathon trail running race is just 12 days away now. The Backcountry Half Marathon is the same race I got lost at last year with two miles to go. Nevertheless, the Nike Vaporfly 4% Flyknit OR the Salomon S Lab Sense 6 SG will get me to the finish line this year. Grateful to be able to run well right now, hoping for good things to come in the future.
