Jacci Gresham is recognized as the pioneering woman who established the black tattoo scene. She has been tattooing for over 35 years, settling in the New Orleans area where she has run her own shop.
Ms. Jacci was an extremely charismatic woman, but you can also tell she was very about her business, despite how nice she was to us. As a black woman, working in the tattoo industry during the racially turbulent times of the 60's and 70's, it is easy to understand why a person would need to develop such traits.
