DETAILED TRAINER TIP DESCRIPTION
There are a few TRX exercises that Ang commonly sees people set up wrong, but before looking at specific moves, let’s be sure your straps are set up properly:
• The equalizer loop toward the top should be parallel to the ground.
• The strap adjusters should be even with one another, using the top tab to make adjustments when the clamps are tilted open.
Where should my straps be (the rights and wrongs)?
ROW:
Correct – adjusted to the short position
• Shoulders and neck should be neutral.
• Shoulder blades need room to pull back.
If incorrect:
• Neck pulls in, shoulders are too tight.
•Shoulders curl in on release.
• Plank isn’t as strong.
•You lose the impact of the move.
• Increased risk of injury.
SUSPENDED LUNGE:
Correct – mid calf position
• Can get feet properly into straps.
• Full range of motion in lunge to work through the whole move.
• Safer to drive leg forward and back.
If incorrect:
• Super awkward to get foot into straps.
•Not a proper lunge on your plant leg.
• Too much forward movement in suspended leg.
PLANK:
Correct – mid calf position
• Maintain neutral back.
• Feet are flexed.
• Core is tight and strong.
If incorrect:
• Awkward to get in and be in this position.
• Pressure is on wrist and shoulders.
• Core can’t fully engage.
What About for Other TRX Exercises?
Great question! Well, what I do is I simply do a Google search like “Proper strap length for a TRX Oblique Crunch.” Then I look at the answer to make sure it’s from an accredited source. It usually is. The best source would be trxtraining.com of course – they also have a great guide here: [ Ссылка ]
If you‘re a TRX enthusiast, or even a TReXpert, it’s super important to take the time to adjust your straps to stay safe and to get the full impact of your workout.
