I heard this reel for the first time years ago on Bobby Casey's "The Spirit of West Clare" (1966). Last Sunday, I played it during an online exchange of tunes for the first time since long. But I wasn't too happy with the result. So, here it is again, guys. A straight forward session version of the tune.
The origin of the tune goes way back. It appears under the name “Eileen Curran” at the start of the 20th Century in the famous collection of Irish traditional music: O'Neill's Music of Ireland.
