GV. Henry Cooper light vest v. John McLean (or Maclean?). (First 7 feet Super.) SV. Two handed slugging by both men. SV. Cooper lands left to chin, which sends McLean reeling against ropes. McLean fights back misses with right swing, Cooper throws lefts and rights, McLean is swung round. SV. Mac. rushes Cooper, but another right hook forces him against ropes. SV. Mac. rushing Cooper runs into a left which lifts him off his feet. They wrestle in centre of ring. SV. Cooper with winner with arms around Mac.
SV. Crowd at ringside. CU. Gong.
LV. Bernard Foster v. Bruce Wells, light vest and taller. Wells falls onto canvas after lefts and rights to chin. Referee counting. LV. Wells rising Foster dashes in, Wells tries to tie Foster up but a left and right and another left, sends Wells crashing against ropes. Wells staggers to feet. Ref. waves him back, to take count. They resume. LV. Wells hanging on grimly, Ref. stops fight, Wells does a tricky dance.
