This video is a comparison between an OTDR and EXFO's intelligent Optical Link Mapper (iOLM) to demonstrate how efficient it is to characterize an entire link with the iOLM. The OTDR characterization must be done by performing multiple acquisitions with multiple traces, whereas the iOLM uses an automated multipulse approach that is up to 6 times faster.
