Traditional Capping Ceremony. Similar to western's coming-of-age celebrations. The Ceremony is principally done with 20 years old. The person becomes and adult and gets a bigger responsibility.
Traditional Pinning Ceremony. Is the woman ceremony of becoming adult. Usually it's done at the age of 15. The meaning has no difference with Capping Ceremony, but the procedure is more simple.

관례의 의의. 관례는 전통사회에서 남자들의 성인의식으로, 사양의 성년식과 유사사하다. 관례는 20세에 하는 것이 원칙이다. 어른 사회에 참여할 수 있는 권리가 부여되고, 그에 따른 책입도 무거워진다.
계례는 여자들의 성년의식이다. 여자들의 경우는 15세에 계례를 하는 것이 원칙이고, 의미는 관례와 크게 다를 바 없다. 다만 계례식의 절차는 관례식에 비해 상당히 간략하다.
