Footage of the aftermath of the death of President William V. Tubman of Liberia who died in a London clinic following an operation.

"On hand to welcome Presidents Moktar Ould Daddah of Mauritania and present OAU Chairman and David Jawara was President William R. Tolbert, Jr. and other govt. officials.
On hour later and at exact 3p.m. Liberian Standard Time, the Royal Airforce plane carrying the body of Dr. Tubman after a perfect touched down, slowly moved to wards the terminal where thousands of weeping and wailing continued.
Accompanying the late President's body was his grief stricken widow, Mrs. Antoinette Tubman, who upon descending the plane, broke down in tears and was then escorted to a waiting car by President Tolbert and Senator WVS Tubman, Jr. son of the fallen President Tubman.
At the airport, the body was given a 21-gun salute and escorted on a cart on an inspection of the guard.
Presidents Tolbert, David Jawara and Moktar Ould Daddah stood on the cart behind the bronze casket as it was escorted on inspection.
Thereafter the inspection, the cart gently and slowly moved amidst thousands of weeping crowds and wailing unto the Executive Mansion where the body will lie in State until Thursday morning when funeral services will be held.
President Tubman (the late) is expected to be buried at his private Congo-Town estate 5 miles from Monrovia upon the request of his widow stricken widow and members of the family."
